Family Session/Newborn Session

Meet Mr. Luke and his big brother Mr. Ben. One cute little nugget and another little 3 year old firecracker to work with. These guys were awesome...super fun, super silly and so laid back. The perfect combination for a newborn session. Big thanks to my fabulous friend Coleen Montgomery (again) for referring another one of her easy going friends. And Thank you Laura and family. You guys were perfect!

One year mini session!

You really can't go wrong photographing a one year old. At the end you have authentic photos wether they are jumping for joy or screaming in frustration. I think that's why I LOVE photographing this age. You really do capture them as they are. They aren't pretending to smile and they aren't posing in any way....they are just being who they are. Cute. Little. Niblets. Like Soraya! I really could just eat this little lady right up. She loved the lens being in her face, she was super silly and just loved our little outdoor adventure. I had so much fun that I lost track of the time and our 30 minute session turned into more like an hour long session. Thanks, Heather for a fun morning. I LOVED hanging with you and your daughter. She's an absolute treasure!!!

Welcome to the world Little Miss Charlee.....

This little niblet is the 3rd beauty queen belonging to the Gharst family. Allison is one of my closest friends out here in sunny San Diego and when I was first starting my photography business 2 years ago I practiced my first newborn session with Addy, who just turned 2. Here's one of my favorites from that session... The best part of taking pictures for a good friend that you know really well is being able to try out new ideas. Unfortunately little Charlee was not the happiest of campers for about half of our session which didn't leave us with any free play time. However when I arrived Allison had already set up some pretty stinking cute props in her house. We embraced her husband's love of hunting as well as Allison's mad skills in the kitchen. Love these guys...

Welcome, baby Makai!

I spent a lovely afternoon with this little man along with his mom, dad and his little firecracker of a sister. She absolutely cracked me up during the session. She had energy coming out of her ears, was so super giggly and just really excited. Big congrats to your beautiful family and welcome to the one of each club! :)

Wedding Day!

Big thanks to Meghan from Memories by Meghan Photography for letting me 2nd shoot with her. We had a gorgeous day filled with sunny skies, warm temperatures and a stunning bride. We started out at the Bahia in Mission Beach, headed over to UCSD for the wedding ceremony and ended our day back at the Bahia. Here are some of my favorites from the day. Enjoy!

Now that I have an iphone I get lazy about busting out my real camera to take pictures of my kids at home. But then when I do grab my camera I am reminded of how it doesn't even compare with that silly little iphone.
