I did my first action sports session this past weekend which was a total blast. These are the best kind of sessions...I didn't have to tell anyone what to do, how to act, where to sit, etc. Candids all the way....hoooray! And might I add that these little guys are super talented. The ball gets pitched to them by a machine and that thing is cooking!

I love it when my clients return for more pictures...these guys are returners (is that even a word?!)....I had the privilege of doing a newborn session with Wyatt way back when he just a little newborn (a miracle baby I might add). Yay! We headed over to Lake Hodges for a little nature hike which turned into more like a sweat session as the morning warmed up very quickly. A big thanks to the mom and dad who worked hard and sweat with me at trying to use every distraction on the planet so I could get a group picture of these cousins together. Thank you, Rodockers for hiring me again..it was fun to see you guys, meet some more little Rodockers and especially to see that little Wyatt growing like a weed! Hoooray!

I visited the Escondido Children's Museum for the first time a few weeks ago. It was a very cute place with the most amazing lighting! Ashlyn had a great time exploring the different toys....she sang a bit, a-hoyed a bit, built a bit....it was a perfect place for an exploring toddler.
The sister of a friend of mine recently lost her 2 day old daughter due to some health complications. I volunteered to take some pictures of the memorial service hoping that they would somehow find comfort in looking back at this day and the pictures and remembering the huge support of their friends and family. The service took place at their home and in remembrance of their daughter, Reagan they planted a tree which will flower big beautiful pink blossoms every spring. Hands down the most difficult thing I have ever taken pictures of.

One of my close friends is pregnant with her 2nd baby and she asked me if I would take just a few pictures of her as this will most likely be her last time being pregnant. Look at that perfectly round belly...she's perfectly perfect! We headed over to Old Poway Park for just a few pictures.....can't wait to meet your little lady in just a few weeks so I can smother her with kisses and pink!!! :)
