Zoe Isabella Yee: Newborn Session

So this is little Zoe...the little lady belonging to one of my closest friends in San Diego. Zoe was a little older than my usual specimens, but she cooperated just dandy and we were able to get a couple of super cute sleepy pictures in various props. (on a side note..how cute is that little bed...many many thanks to my parents for flying that out here on there last trip out. It was my doll bed when I was a child). To my crazy, sleep deprived, hormonal friend ...may God's richest blessings flow abundantly on your family, especially this wonderful little beauty queen. Much love. :)

Shay Newborn Session

I spent my afternoon with this wonderful mama of three! These guys live in this amazing farm house with so many great spots outside on their property. Unfortunately it was a bit brisk so I couldn't take advantage of her amazing front porch or the chicken coop outside in fear of the newest member turning into a popsicle. But in any case...the little man was a trooper, I tell ya. He was shlepped from here to there and everywhere, didn't sleep 2 seconds the entire the session and didn't make a peep!! And look at that big brother and big sister. So cute and just adoring him like crazy. Thanks Shay family for welcoming me in to your bit of chaos and introducing me to your little Liam. :)))

Charlotte Rose...a newborn session

I have decided that photographing newborns is kind of like Christmas. I go, take pictures..go home, upload them and then anxiously await while I unwrap each and every one to see what I have. Beauty. Simplicity. Love.

Here's Charlotte Rose...what a joy to photograph. She slept pretty much the entire time. Corri and Kurt, thank you for allowing me to photograph your beautiful new gift. Blessings to you as you raise up another precious child for the Lord!

Mason Oswald: Newborn Session

This little guy was born a couple weeks late at a whopping 9 lbs! His mom and one of my dear friends, Julie Oswald is an inspiration. Mason was her 3rd boy...her first boy was an emergency c-section. Her 2nd boy was a V-bac..all natural and this big guy was another natural birth, but at home this time. I love that she was brave enough to go against the flow w/ not a only a V-bac, but also a home birth and cooked that little guy for 42 weeks! She's Super Mom! Anyway...here's a few of my favorite shots of Mason. I can't wait to see what God has in store for this family of boys! Love, hugs and super heroes to you, Oswald Family. :)

Newborn Session with Kaia Ek

So this was definitely one of my favorite sessions. First of all I walked into this room and the lighting couldn't have been more perfect. Second of all how stinking cute are all of the owls? And third of all how cute is this little baby girl and her beautiful mama! Katie is my neighbor and I just happened to mention to her one day that I am a photographer...she went home, looked at my blog and emailed me the next day to schedule a session which we did the next day after that. Woo hoo! Thanks, Katie for hiring me to take pictures of your beautiful new baby girl. It was fun getting to know you and I look forward to taking more pictures of your cute family in the future. :0)

Twin Newborn Session: San Diego, California

These two little cutie pies were adopted fresh out of the oven. The mom really really wanted a photo session when they were super duper little...like 4 pounds and 5 pounds. They were so small and teeny and so nice and sleepy for me. Here are some of my favorites from our day. Thank you, Robin (and BJ) for sweating with me and sharing your sweet babies with me. You are going to be amazing parents. God is good!
